Stimulating children's knowledge and skills for lifelong personal health management.
We've been biting at the bit to announce that we've received a wonderful exploratory grant ($550K) from the National Science Foundation to develop a health game for kids using health trackers. This is a collaboration between UC Davis' School of Education & Foods for Health Institute with the Play4Change game lab. The grant is going to cover us for two years and is split between research and game development costs. UC Davis' School of Education and the Play4Change Lab have been keen to work together and the Foods for Health Institute's initiatives and access to the California school system provided a perfect opportunity for all three to come together.
